The EU Cities Gateway program is delighted to host its inaugural Thematic Event on Nature-Based Solutions in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in conjunction with the Connected Resilience: Atlantic Adaptation 2026 conference. This event marks the first in-person meeting of the EU Cities Gateway Nature-Based Solutions Thematic Cluster, with Halifax as host city and Halifax Partnership as active member of the program.

Dress Advice
Late May temperatures in Halifax are typically cool and variable, with daily lows around 9°C and highs around 16°C. Please bring layered clothing, a light rain jacket, and comfortable walking shoes for outdoor site visits, waterfront areas, and walking between venues. A warmer layer is recommended for cooler mornings, evenings, and ferry crossings. Please check the local forecast before departure. Dress code for dining will be casual.
